What If I Lost My Dream of Becoming Rich?

Ever since I was young, I always envisioned myself growing up to get high paying job. I wasn't always sure what I wanted to do with my life but I just knew that when I was older I wanted to be rich. The reason why I wanted to be rich was because in my eyes it would make life easier for me. First and foremost, if I had lots of money I would be able to take care of family. This is probably one of the biggest reasons why I would want to be rich because my family is the most important thing to me, and I would want to make sure we all have everything we need and more. Also I would use the money for the future family I plan to have on my own, and make sure that my future kids don't need to go through any of the struggles that I went through when I was young. Don't get me wrong, I would never raise my children to be spoiled because I would teach them that nothing in life comes easy and you need to work hard for everything. Throughout my life I've heard the saying "Money Makes The World Go Round" many times and when I sit down and think about it, it's actually true. Nothing in life is free because everything in the world requires money. There are lost of places in the world that don't even have free health care like we do and there are lots of people who are less privileged then we are. If I was rich, I would live well and give back. People say money doesn't buy you happiness which is technically true, but money would make my life easier and with an easier life I think I would be more happy. I wouldn't need to worry about people trying to friend me up just for my money because I have close friends now that obviously aren't with me for my money because I don't currently have any. The only people I would be worried about getting close with me for my money would be women, because you never know if they truly love you or not. In spite of that, I would probably just not tell them that I am rich until the time is right. If I ever chose to get married I would make sure I get a prenup so that if there is a divorce, the girl won't get half my stuff. Aside from that I see no downside to being rich, It would make my life easier and more exciting. I will be able to travel the world, meet new people, and try new things. I would be able to get a big house with all the luxuries I desire, such as a basketball court, a home theater, video games, cars, and much more. So at the end of the day if you think money doesn't buy you happiness, that's fine for you. But if I get a life like what I envision for myself, I will be truly happy.
If I end up not becoming rich and I lose sight of my dream, that will also be okay. Because I've made it this far in life without money so I know I will be able to make it further. Becoming rich doesn't mean everything to me, but it means something. I admit that I will be disappointed if I don't get rich in the future, but at the end of the day I know either way I'll end up being fine.
