Final Blog of Grade 12 English

This semester has been really fun and I'm gonna miss my English class. I really enjoyed it and part of me doesn't want it to end. So far my grade 12 year is going really well and there is no other English teacher I would rather have in my last year than Mr. Santin. He made this semester really enjoyable and he's one of the most chill teachers at the school. This class gave me so much freedom and it was a lot less stressful than what I expected it to be, I wish all classes could be similar to this one. The fact that a lot of our work was online helped the other students and I to feel more comfortable and I thought it was great. I don't really like blogging to be honest but now that this is basically my last blog, I can tell I'm going to miss it. I have learned so much about myself in this class from all the unique assignments that we have done and all the interesting discussions we've had. I feel like everyone in that class had a voice/opinion that mattered. Throughout this semester I think I would have to say that compromise was one of the biggest things we had to come to terms with. I liked how the whole class was able to compromise on due dates and on our group assignments, I think it taught each of us a valuable lesson. Another aspect of this class I enjoyed was the fact that we had a lot of different types of work to chooses from and it was never boring. We had the opportunity to feel independent, given the fact that we could do the working solely or with others and I think this class helped prepare us for post-secondary more than any other class. This class also had lively debates and discussions on things that were relevant in the world and was relatable to us. Usually having English class for homeroom seems like it wold be a boring way to start of your day but this class was so much different than what I thought it would be. It was the perfect way to start off our day, it kept our brains thinking and our minds flowing for the rest of the time were were at school. In conclusion, I had an amazing time doing this and I wish it wasn't over. I am sure that the everything that I have learned in this class will be useful in the future and I will use the knowledge I have gained for the rest of my life.
